My niece's favorite story was about a little girl named Julia and her two pet fish. Her mom would start the story by telling how Julia had a surprise gift for her birthday of a couple of fish, which she named Swimmy and Bubbles. After taking good care of them for few days, one rainy night Julia decided to let the water fill the fish bowl. The bowl filled up quickly to the rim, and her pet fish jumped out into the creek that ran under her window. The story ended with the fish living happy and free in the wild. I really liked the story but I wanted to know more about what happens to them afterwards. So I took over writing the rest of the story and the pet fish's journey into the river, where they meet other creatures and have to learn to survive on their own. Julia learns the daily responsibilities of owning a pet. Her dad also explains to her that even though it might seem a good idea to let your pet free it's not good for animals born in captivity, because they don't know how to survive in the wild.

otherwise I will give away the ending...This paperback book has 30 pages and has a reading level appropriate for ages 6 to 10. The illustrations are drawn using colored pencils. This book is available on Amazon in English and in other 4 languages.
